Singapore, with its lush greenery and vibrant flora, is a paradise for plant enthusiasts. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a budding plant parent, the Lion City offers a plethora of options when it comes to acquiring new green companions. Let’s explore some of the best places to buy plants and flowers in Singapore, ensuring that your living space stays fresh and lively.
Today, we’ll be discovering gardening havens at Thomson.
1. Far East Flora
Far East Flora is one of the oldest and most reputable plant nurseries in Singapore. Spanning a vast area, it boasts an impressive assortment of plants, flowers, and gardening supplies. They have an online store, though we find browsing in person offers more options. Far East Flora has organised their store with more medium-sized plants outside, and smaller pots inside. We’ve seen them carry varieties including cacti, succulents (e.g. Haworthia, Kalanchoe, Echeveria and more), ferns, roses, orchids, air plants and more. They have a good collection of gardening tools and pots as well.

2. Candy Floriculture
Candy Floriculture is our other go-to destination for affordable and beautiful plants. With a wide variety of indoor and outdoor options, as well as an assortment of pots and gardening accessories, Candy Floriculture caters to both beginners and seasoned plant lovers. We love them for their extensive succulent collection (e.g. Haworthia, Kalanchoe, Echeveria and more), with more bonsai options than other stores in the Thomson stretch of nurseries. We recommend being prepared with mosquito repellent here.

3. Spa Flora
Spa Flora stands as a serene haven for plant enthusiasts with a refreshing selection of air plants (e.g. Tillandsia Merlin, Spanish Moss, Tillandsia Xerographica and more). We enjoy the open layout of this plant nursery with plenty of space to browse comfortably. They’re usually stocked with some interesting orchids (e.g. Oncidium, etc) as well, beyond the common Phalaenopsis varieties normally found in malls.

4. Hawaii Landscape
Hawaii Landscape is a smaller nursery, which we’ve found to carry interesting varieties of roses at their entryway. They tend to carry larger volumes of common plants such as Pothos, Aglaonema, Dischidia, Anthuriums and more.

5. Fresh Cut Flowers by Far East Orchid
Fresh Cut Flowers by Far East Orchid, as their namesake implies, specialises in freshly cut flowers at incredible wholesale prices. Intensely popular, their chilled room keeps flowers fresh while giving a comfortable browsing experience. If you’re looking for a florist for beautifully wrapped Valentine’s day gifts, note that reviewers consistently mention a lack of service. Best if you’re comfortable with arranging or wrapping your own flowers.
